South Salt Lake Mural Fest - June 2020
This mural was a collaboration with another local artist, Isaac Hastings . You can check out his work on his website, or @ihsquared.
With this project, we were given a lot of room to just do our thing. We began designing this amidst the first wave of Covid-19, and began painting it on the first day of the BLM protests in response to the killing of George Floyd. We were both feeling shaken, and worried about the future. And our original design began to not feel like the right choice. We decided that we wanted to focus on conveying a sense of balance, peace, and strength to the people that pass this mural.
Hopefully it’s working.
